Tide and Light Studio was created by Kathy and Clive, a couple who have called New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty home for nearly 20 years. We share a love of the natural world and the time spent outdoors that comes with photography.

Kathy is drawn to quiet coastal landscapes, early mornings and the changing light around the water. Her work often uses long exposure to soften movement and create a sense of calm, capturing those brief moments when the world seems to slow down.

Clive’s photography reflects his interest in birds, wildlife and the smaller details found in nature. His images often capture moments of movement, character and behaviour that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

Together, our collections bring these different perspectives into one place—from peaceful seascapes and atmospheric landscapes to wildlife and the world beyond the shoreline.

Every photograph has been personally captured by one of us and carefully selected for Tide and Light Studio. Our work is professionally printed using high-quality archival materials, chosen to preserve the detail, colour and atmosphere of each image for years to come.

We hope our photographs bring a sense of connection, calm and enjoyment to the spaces in which they are displayed.
